The day Mom sent a mass email
of bad cancer news/good news in Christ,
I snowshoed up to Revelation Point,
Snow Mountain Ranch, Winter Park, Colorado.
There, at the top, was an empty mailbox:
God’s Mailbox (the black paint said so).
I had no pencil, not even a scrap
of paper. So I took a picture with my phone.
Every day, I hoped that looking at it
would count,
that my prayer would be safely delivered.
