Tuesday was busy at Texas Oncology.
Two ladies ended their chemo
with confetti and bell ringing.
Another lady
threw herself a party, complete with mimosas,
right there in the infusion room.
She said she’d never had a break from chemo,
and now she’s Stage 4, so she’s breaking out
the champagne and orange juice.
Mom called out, “I’m Stage 4!”
“Then have a mimosa!”
the lady shouted back.
Mom shook her head. “I’m can’t.
I’m still fighting.”
The woman shook her head right back
and said, “I’m dancing!”
